Kansas City, MO — From June 25-27, Patty Medina, the Founder of the Hooper Mentality Foundation and Associate Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at American University, participated in the 2024 Cohort for the Leadership Enhancement Institute hosted by Women Leaders in Sports in Kansas City.
The Leadership Enhancement Institute is a highly regarded program designed to foster leadership development among women in the sports industry. Medina’s selection for this year’s cohort is a testament to her remarkable contributions in promoting women, inclusive excellence, and mental health advocacy within athletics.
During the three-day intensive program, Medina engaged with a diverse group of women leaders, participated in leadership workshops, and attended keynote sessions led by industry experts. The program focused on enhancing leadership skills, communication skills, strategic thinking, and networking, providing participants with the tools necessary to drive change and innovation in their respective fields.
